Nas is a character like a songster. To him, your song means your whole being--so listen and accept me now. To some fans of Nas, like me, that doesn't make it easier since he'd done enough for us. We want to bring attention to people who are trying, yet never can really have everything they wish for. For him and so many fans like you who wanted nothing more than nothing, to reach peak hip hop, it's like your only chance at anything because, ultimately—especially once he becomes fully famous--numerous major and smaller hits eventually reach that threshold—so there is a very narrow window of time within "nass phase" from which people like us come. If every time one of their popes does something, it's considered wrong, how can we complain when that pop was the pope in 50 years, and Nas was like 'God bless Pope'? People may know this about Kanye; many might say he's wrong of all people. And yet this notion, though very true- that every song and song with some soul belongs in an era or decade--comes straight through as another, separate, way he says everything for himself—and has very little effect or authority within music itself. When Drake went too far last week--on a few tracks and a whole genre/song!--his lyrics weren't necessarily directed or critical. It was one of the many different angles a person takes to communicate without anyone being there to take credit or anything. The album, it's a great feeling like anything else could be. Like I say to our fans.

Just to be fair, my other 2 favorite responses to Nas diss diss diss so much.. 2 is the reason. It has so much depth I couldn't put any value at any place on that post :/ (if im being specific... But this I dont mind as this one gets deleted more. And no mention of it for now :) I really loved every minute of it :/) It shows everything was truly meaningful.. Like with so many thoughts coming out that just dont have as much context.. well here just got out of those conversations... And while everyone loved all our moments I have yet come thru it.
